CHILDREN'S PARADISE

Le Monêtier Les Bains and the resort of Serre Chevalier are very child friendly and at the hotel we are too! We'll do whatever we can to provide an environment that entertains your children and makes your life as easy as possible. On top of all the other activities listed on the left here, there is a lot more on offer for both young and older children:

A day out with the Marmottes

You very rarely see them so when you have the chance to see Marmottes playing and feeding right in front of your eyes - without a strenuous walk up a mountain - you'd better make the most of it. At La Montagne aux Marmottes children can not only see marmottes but also eagles, owls, foxes, mouflons and other mountain animals in a natural setting.

Ceramics

Take your child along to Arc en Ciel Ceramiques in Villeneuve and watch them proudly show off their creative skills as they paint unglazed pottery, whether it's a mug, a plate, statue or teapot! The team at Arc en Ciel will then glaze the pottery so your child can take away his or her own little masterpiece!

Horse-riding

There are three horse-riding centres: one in Le Monêtier Les Bains, one in Villeneuve and one in the high village of Le Lauzet. They offer a full range of activities including unique promenades for all levels from beginners to more experienced riders.

Lakes

There are beautiful bathing lakes in Serre Chevalier and further afield including Pontillas (Villeneuve), La Roche de Rame (just south of Briançon) and Lac Serre Ponçon (Embrun). See our dedicated Swimming & Spa page.

Le Monêtier Les Bains Summer Activity Centre

The village of Le Monêtier Les Bains has its very own summer activity centre for children aged 3-12 years old - La Ruche.
