MOUNTAIN BIKING & ROAD BIKING

Mountain biking

From easy family rides along the Guisane river to nearby villages or adrenelin-filled downhill and cross-country routes, the choice is yours. Serre Chevalier's own network of mountain biking routes stretches more than 70km - with six mountain lifts that take much of the strain out of your biking!

Further afield, both the high valley of La Clarée and the Durance valley, offer beautiful scenery and exciting itineries for bikers. F
or those of you who want to hire bikes, we can recommend a local hire shop in the village.

Road biking

Hotel Le Rif Blanc sits right next to the Route Nationale that runs from Briançon, the highest town in Europe, to the Col du Lautaret at 2057 metres altitude. This is a serious route for seasoned roadbikers who may also want to take on other nearby high-alp passes such as the Col d'Izoard (2360m), Col du Granon (2413m) and the Col du Galibier (2642m).

Serre Chevalier is a great destination to watch or follow the Tour de France as it frequently challenges riders to climb the local mountain passes and routes - this year, both the associated L'Etape du Tour and the Tour itself passed right in front of the hotel! Why not bring your bike to Serre Chevalier and use the hotel as a base for your road-biking holiday or training? All you have to do is decide which road to take!
